Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, quilters of all ages, my lovely friend Richla, from Got Kwilts, is launching a brand new Block of the Month programme this summer and I am thrilled to bits to have been invited to design the 2023 quilt.
We have chosen a circus theme using the upcoming Bloomsville collection from Tilda Fabrics and, trust me, it's fabulous! As is our line up of blocks: gathered under the big top is a magician's rabbit and a ringmaster's dog, an acrobatic seal and a juggling bear, a stately giraffe and a magnificent lion plus, everyone's favourite, the elephant. The blocks have been inspired by old circus posters and vintage toys and I know Richla and her team are having lots of fun making a troupe of companion projects.
