It's time to draw back the curtain, invite you into the Big Top and introduce you properly to the Got Kwilts 2023 Block of the Month, Vintage Circus.
As I mentioned, the Vintage Circus blocks have been inspired by old circus posters and vintage toys to bring a little old-fashioned whimsy to your children's rooms.
I have had the most wonderful time dreaming up the blocks and Richla has brought them to life so beautifully, making our sample project and rustling up some adorable companion projects from the Tilda's Atelier book.
Richla has created a magnificent kit for the Vintage Circus Block of the Month participants in Tilda's marvellous new Bloomsville collection: it's exotic prints and saturated palette are combined with Tilda doll fabric for the circus characters and a fun two-colour setting - which includes Tilda's Sophie print - all finished off with the perfect stripy binding. There are a limited number of these gorgeous kits, so unicycle over to Richla's shop to bag yours!
The Vintage Circus Pattern book will be published in July, either as a printed book - available from the shop or on Amazon - or as individual Petit Four PDF block patterns. I'll be sewing along with the block of the month participants and sharing my tips in Richla's sewalong newsletter.
