Primrose Hill Sampler: gathering your supplies

I’m looking forward to sharing the first blocks in the Today’s Quilter Primrose Hill block of the month very soon. But while we wait shall we gather a few supplies?

Here's what you will need to make your Primrose Hill Sampler quilt...

1 Fat Quarter Bundle or 26 Fat Quarters (Moda Grace)

1 FQ taupe solid (Moda Bella Etchings Stone)

1 FQ grey-brown solid (Moda Bella Etchings Charcoal)

4 ½ yds of background fabric

1 ¼ yds of border fabric

¾ yds of binding fabric

74” x 86” piece of cotton batting

5 yds of backing fabric

3/8” bias tape maker

Taupe, grey-brown and raspberry embroidery floss

Hang on to your scraps as you go: you will find them useful as we work through our blocks.

I've kept all of my scraps together in a vintage draper's drawer

I'm sure you are all aware that fabric deliveries have been a bit hit and miss over the past eighteen months, despite everyone moving mountains (of delayed freight deliveries) to try and catch up. So I say with some hesitation that Grace fabric is due to arrive in the following UK shops any day now: -

Just Sew Now, Co. Fermanagh www.justsewnow.com

The Sewing Studio, Cornwall www.thesewingstudio.co.uk

Wool Warehouse, Warwickshire www.woolwarehouse.co.uk

If you are sewing from your stash, I hope having the materials list 'up front' will be helpful. The pairs of blocks we make each month will be spaced apart in the quilt, which will keep the fabrics balanced if you're going scrappy!

Copies of issue 81 of TQ are starting to land on doormats across the the UK, so let the journey begin...
