The Strawberry Thief is William Morris’s most beloved design, capturing his observation of thrushes feasting on the strawberries in his garden at Kelmscott Manor. We will replace printing blocks with quilt blocks to create our own song-filled strawberry patch.


78” x 91” Finished Quit

1½ yds or 3 half yard cuts of cream prints
1 yd of green
4 Fat Quarters of light blue
2 Fat Quarters of tan prints*
1 Fat Quarter of pink
1/3  yd or 4 Fat Eights of red prints
6 yds indigo blue background fabric
7¼ yds backing fabric
86” x 99” piece of cotton batting
¾ yd fabric for binding

* You will use almost all of one, so may prefer a 1/3 yard cut
